I'm sick of...

Note:  A rant is to follow

Ok, there is one type of person I cannot STAND, and that is ignorant people.  I hate hate hate when people act intellectually superior and refuse to accept any way but there own, especially when they don't even get their facts straight.  I am a very open-minded person in that I will listen to your side and accept your views whether I believe them or not, but you lose that respect when you do not respect my view in return.  This often happens when dealing with politics and religion (of course).  I am a moderate republican, but as already said, I will support anyone who best fits my personal views, no matter what party.  I do not like the teabaggers nor do I like conceited liberals.  Now, I am not bashing all liberals here, but this is a trend occurring a lot lately.  Since there is a democratic president and there are currently quite a few republicans making stupid choices, people think this gives them some sort of advantage in how they talk to people.  I've seen soooo many liberals bashing people who are not on the crazy spectrum for anything and everything.  Also, a lot of liberals have this elitist attitude, which makes me sick.  So apparently your shit smells better?  Ok, honestly, one person has spawned this rant from me, and they are not a bad person by any means, but they have become politically ignorant and elitist.  Recently he commented on the Weinergate situation saying that he should be left alone and allow him to continue on as a congressman.  The problem does not come with this statement but with that if Rep Weiner had been a republican instead, he would have most certainly said he was an idiot and needs to leave congress ASAP.  He does this all the time, bashing all the republicans doing bad things but failing to even recognize the dummies on his side.  YOUR POOP STINKS TOO!  Another thing was today he posted about a bulletin board saying "pregnant?  your baby's heart is beating" and that it was not true and how people need to stop being ignorant.  Well, the joke's on you because a fetus's heart starts beating as early as 4 weeks after conception.  This wasn't even a political thought on abortion but rather a scientific fact.  GET YOUR DAMN FACTS STRAIGHT!  I don't care of what race, sex, religious belief, sexual preference or political affiliation you are, but before you open your mouth or write/type something out, THINK!  Use your MIND that was given to you by your deity of choice (or lack thereof).  The world would be a much better place if all the ragingly ignorant people were gone (or went through great amounts of therapy). 

All in all, people need to stop acting better than others and pretending to act like their way is always better.  It may be, but situations need to be entered with an open mind.  If you can't accept someone else for their views, move on, don't sit there and preach to them why they're wrong or condescend them.

PS:  It is ok to tell someone they are wrong if it involves death.  Like, if you wanted to go back in time to tell Hitler that the Holocaust is wrong, by all means go ahead.

Applesauce

No, this has nothing to do with applesauce, but I couldn't think of an applicable title.  So, I am pretty excited that I just got cast in the play Dancing at Lughnasa at my college!  I'll be playing Rose Mundy, but that probably means nothing since most people have never heard of the play.  But that doesn't start rehearsals for a while so in the meantime I'll be doing spotlight for the musical Urinetown!   Yes, it's about pee.

In other news, my colleges basketball team sucks. I go to NCSU, home of the wolf pack, and yeah, our coach needs to go.  I don't even like basketball that much and I know we suck.  At least our football team shows plenty of promise coming off a great season and a bowl win!

Unless you live near the equator, you would agree with me when I say it is COLD.  Walking everywhere sucks when it's 30 degrees with a blistering wind chill.  There isn't even any snow on the ground in NC to distract me right now...  Plus, I'm currently a little sick.  Nothing major or bad as what I had last year, but it's  still a hindrance.

Oh, and I have two tests this Tuesday, TWO!  We haven't learned hardly anything yet, but I have two tests?  Ridiculous.  They better be easy, or else I'll throw ball pit balls at people.  Yeah, that is all.
